Michigan State University helps high-school students explore and discover the Human Brain
Nerves will be building for Michigan Brain Bee competitors with the regional championships in one month’s time.
As well as hosting the regional champs, Michigan State University has been helping local students prepare with a series of weekend workshops where they can dissect a sheep's brain and explore neuronal control of the gut. The latest workshop was Brain Sparks, supported by ADInstruments, which usedPowerLabs to study the electrical signals generated by the nervous system in crayfish, fruit flies and the students themselves.
We think it’s awesome that the MSU Neuroscience Program faculty and students are out there showing how fun and interesting neuroscience can be. We wish their students all the best for the Regional and National Brain Bee Championships!
